This is a drawing I was commissioned to make for the Oxfordshire Museum at Woodstock, illustrating a medieval shoemaker at work and rendered in the style of the small incidental & often humourous illustrations found in the borders of illuminated manuscripts.
It was great fun to do, and I particularly enjoyed the complete disregard for scale and perspective I could employ; those things weren't that important to medieval artists!
